How Mentoring @ Invespire works
Mentoring @ Invespire handles finding each other, agreeing a time and keeping track of it. The conversation itself happens on the video tool you already use.
If you want a mentor
You can browse without an account. You need one, with a verified email, to request a session.
Create your account and verify your email (not started)
Register with an email and password, or use Google where it is available. We email you a verification link that works for 24 hours. Until you confirm, you can browse but not book.
Find a mentor (not started)
Search by name, keyword or skill tag. Open a profile to read the headline, bio, experience, average rating and reviews.
Pick a time (not started)
Open times appear in your time zone, up to 30 days ahead. Each session is 60 minutes. A time must start at least 2 hours from now.
Send your request with a note (not started)
Tell the mentor what you want to cover, in up to 500 characters. The mentor is emailed and notified in the app. Sending a request also opens a conversation between you two. You can have 5 pending requests at a time.
Wait for an answer (not started)
The mentor accepts or declines. A decline always includes a reason. If nobody answers before the start time, the request expires and shows as declined.
Meet (not started)
An accepted request comes with a video link. Join it at the agreed time from your own device.
Review the session (not started)
Once the session has ended you can give 1 to 5 stars and write up to 1500 characters. The mentor can reply once, in public.
If you want to mentor
Every account starts as a mentee account. Mentoring is something you apply for from inside it.
Apply (not started)
From your dashboard, submit a headline, a bio of at least 30 characters, one to 10 skill tags, your years of experience and, if you like, a LinkedIn or portfolio link. Your email must be verified.
Wait for review (not started)
An admin reads your application and approves or rejects it. If it is rejected you receive the reason by email and can resubmit an improved version.
Set your availability (not started)
Once approved, add weekly windows in your own time zone, each at least 60 minutes, and block any dates you are away. Mentees can only request times inside these windows.
Answer requests (not started)
Each request arrives with the mentee's note, by email and in the app. Accept, or decline with a reason. Accepting requires a video link, for example a Google Meet or Zoom address that starts with https.
Meet (not started)
Open your link at the session time. Sessions are 60 minutes.
Reply to reviews (not started)
After the session the mentee may leave a review. You can reply once, up to 1000 characters.
