Last updated · Version 1.0.0

Legal information is being finalised

This document is a draft that has not yet been reviewed by legal counsel, and some of the operator's details (such as the Grievance Officer's contact) may not be published yet. Until then, reach us through the Contact page or the Report a concern page.

1. The basics#

Mentoring @ Invespire works because mentors give their time for free and mentees show up in good faith. Be respectful, be honest, and keep conversations about mentoring. These guidelines are part of our Terms of Service and apply to profiles, booking notes, meeting links, messages, reviews, replies and sessions arranged through the Platform.

Everyone on the Platform must be 18 or older.

2. Be honest#

  • Use your real name or the name you are commonly known by. Do not impersonate any person or organisation, or suggest a connection you do not have.
  • Mentors: describe your experience, skills, titles and employers accurately. Do not claim qualifications you do not hold.
  • Reviews must reflect your own experience of a session that took place. No fake, paid, exchanged or retaliatory reviews, and no reviews of yourself.
  • Do not use a profile photo you do not have the right to use.

3. Be respectful and safe#

  • No harassment, bullying, threats, intimidation or stalking, on or off the Platform, of anyone you met through it.
  • No hate speech or content that attacks people on the basis of race, ethnicity, caste, religion, nationality, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, age or similar characteristics.
  • No sexual content, sexual advances or requests, and nothing that sexualises anyone. Content that sexualises minors is never allowed and will be reported to the authorities.
  • No content promoting violence, self-harm or dangerous activities.
  • Do not share anyone's personal information (including contact details, photos or private messages) without their permission.
  • Do not record a session unless everyone in it agrees and recording is lawful.

4. Keep it free and on-topic#

  • Sessions booked through the Platform are free. Do not request payment, gifts, subscriptions or other benefits for them.
  • No spam, chain messages, unsolicited advertising or bulk promotion of products or services in messages, notes, profiles or reviews.
  • No scams, phishing, requests for money, investment or cryptocurrency pitches, or requests for passwords, one-time codes or financial details.
  • Meeting links must lead to a genuine video call for the session. No malicious, misleading or unrelated links.

5. Advice and its limits#

  • Mentoring is general guidance, not professional advice. Mentors must not present sessions as legal, medical, mental-health, financial, investment or tax advice, and must not diagnose, prescribe or give individual investment recommendations.
  • If someone appears to be at risk of harm, encourage them to contact local emergency services or an appropriate helpline, and tell us at info@invespire.com.

6. Illegal and harmful content#

Do not post or share anything that is illegal where you are or in India, including content listed in our Terms of Service (section 9), content that infringes someone else's copyright or trademark, malware, or content that facilitates a crime.

7. Respect the Platform#

  • One account per person. Do not create accounts to get around a suspension, a rejection or rate limits.
  • Do not scrape, crawl or harvest data, and do not automate account actions.
  • Do not try to access other people's accounts or data, or test our security except as allowed by our Security and Responsible Disclosure Policy.
  • Do not overload or disrupt the Platform.
  • Do not misuse the report feature, for example by filing reports you know to be false.

8. How to report a problem#

  • Signed-in users: use the Report button next to a review, a mentor's reply, a message or a meeting link in a booking. We confirm receipt and review it.
  • Anything else (a mentor profile, a user), or if you do not have an account: use our report page, or email info@invespire.com with a link to the content and why you think it breaks these rules or the law. See our Grievance and Reporting page for details.
  • In an emergency, contact local emergency services first.

9. What we do when rules are broken#

Reports are reviewed by our administrators, who are people. Depending on how serious the problem is and whether it has happened before, we may:

  • dismiss the report if the content does not break the rules;
  • remove a review, a mentor's reply or a message, so that nobody can see it;
  • reject a mentor application or profile changes, with a reason;
  • suspend the account. A suspended user cannot sign in, their mentor profile is hidden, their upcoming sessions are cancelled (the other person is told), and others cannot message them; or
  • close the account, for example when it belongs to someone under 18, which deletes it as described in our Privacy Policy.

Reasons and appeals

When we remove your content or suspend your account, we will tell you what we did and why, unless the law prevents us. People who report content are told the outcome.

If you think we got it wrong, write to info@invespire.com within 6 months, explaining why. Someone will review the decision and reply within 15 days. If we reverse a decision, we will restore the content or the account. Users in India may appeal the Grievance Officer's decision to the Grievance Appellate Committee within 30 days.

Serious harm

Where content suggests a threat to someone's life or safety, or involves child sexual abuse material, we may inform the relevant authorities and preserve the information as the law requires.

10. Reminders#

We will remind all users of these rules at least once a year and whenever they change in a material way.
